Why Starlink Is the Last Resort in a Travel Privacy Kit
Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. The video then plays in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode.
Starlink Mini is the Communication Suite's connection for places with no signal, and the loudest thing in the kit. This video explains why the Design Rationale rejected it as a primary uplink: it reports its exact GPS position constantly, the account is tied to a card and an address, the dish is easy to spot, and it's illegal to use in many countries. Then why the doctrine forbids reaching for it out of convenience, when it's justified (no usable cell or Wi-Fi anywhere, where legal, deliberately, under 20 minutes on-air), and why the account must be re-provisioned for a new user. Legality is per destination: check it before you pack.
What you’ll learn
- Know why Starlink is high-signature
- Know when it is justified
- Know the account caveat

The honest limits
Legality is per destination and is checked before packing; this is the kit's rule, not legal advice. Keeping it short limits the time on-air; it doesn't stop the dish reporting its position while it's on. The account association persists through a wipe; a new user means re-provisioning the account.
