Drill: Recover Your Accounts From the Vault (Hardware Lab)
Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. The video then plays in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Everything on screen in the Hardware Lab is a training value.
A drill in the Communication Suite's Hardware Lab, in Practice mode: your phone is gone, and the only thing you have is the vault backup. Open the backup on a simulated replacement device, restore Cape from its recovery record, get Signal back with access-only recovery (the PIN doesn't restore message history, and the lab won't pretend it does), and import the SimpleX database with its passphrase, because a vault entry alone isn't enough. Then the score, and what you can't recover: message history, by design. Simulated recovery only; rehearse the real one on a spare device.
