10 Privacy-Kit Mistakes the Simulator Won't Let You Make
Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. The video then plays in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Everything on screen in the Hardware Lab is a training value.
Ten mistakes the Communication Suite's Hardware Lab catches, in build order, each with the lab's own message, what the same mistake costs you for real, and where it's taught in The Build: an unencrypted disk; the installer USB pulled mid-install; the wrong browser for the GrapheneOS web installer; a charge-only cable; a Signal PIN treated as a history backup; a bridge instead of routed NAT (the one the lab applies, then flags in readiness); one WireGuard key on two devices; the router on an endpoint's relay; DAITA and Multihop left on in nested mode; and reconnecting while the hotel exception is still open. Simulated guardrails only catch what the lab models: the lab can't stop you buying a carrier-branded Pixel whose bootloader can't be unlocked.

- Recognise the common build mistakes
- Know the real consequence of each
- Know where each is taught

The honest limits
Simulated guardrails only catch what the lab models. The lab's screens are illustrative, with training placeholders only; the real steps and checks are in the Setup Guide and The Build.
