Phase 0.2 to 0.6 of the Communication Suite build: five decisions you make before any of the kit's devices is switched on. Order the VPN account with cash by mail (it takes weeks), agree a three-line family check-in, decide whether you need a separate work channel, make a small paper card, and pick a setup location across town.

The honest limits
Follow Mullvad's current cash-payment page exactly; the procedure and timing can change. The kit's identity is one account: nameless, but seen from every device that uses it. Cash keeps your name off the VPN account, but the kit is not anonymous: the Cape line has a payer of record and the phone's hardware ID never changes. Fuller recovery details never travel in your wallet.
